Where it comes from
We got tired of swiping.
This is my message was born from a group of people fed up with the same old dating apps. We're not a big company: we're people who wanted another way to meet, building it in the open, together with the people who use it.
We were sick of…
Photosdeciding for you in half a second.Swipingforever, until nobody looks like a person.Notificationsdesigned to hook you, not to help you meet anyone.Shop-window profileswhere whoever sells themselves best wins.Payingjust to be seen.
So we did the opposite.
No photos, no swipe, no notifications. First you answer 50 questions and see who you match with. Then you read each other through cards. Chat comes last, and only if both people want it. Slower, yes. But whatever arrives, arrives because of how you think.
A collaborative website.
This isn't finished, and it never will be: it grows with what its users bring. The questions, the labels, the rules and the words you're reading get better with what you tell us.
